So Loci Photography has done the absolute coolest thing, and it has expanded into the most exciting, visually striking clothing range for hire exclusively through Loci Photography, and only for the magical experience which is the Loci Photography shoot. This range is called Nicolassi, and it’s a dream two years in the making.
I have been able to shoot stunning boudoir, maternity and portfolio shoots for the good part of 12 years already, and so many clients ask if if perhaps there isn’t something a bit different, unique or extraordinary that I perhaps keep at the studio for them to use for their shoot, as you don’t unfortunately find something striking at any mainstream clothing store, and it’s not always possible to pay a designer for a once off garment only to wear to your shoot. So the Nicolassi brand has been born from exactly that, to provide a range to clients who wants to book for boudoir, portfolio or even fitness shoots – and want to add some special pieces to their shoot’s sets, that looks and feels more rich and luxurious, as well as adds an element of gorgeous drama.
These pieces are all handmade and all made to fit a various range of body types and sizes with various smart elements, such as raglan sleeves to fit various arms, and shoulder pads to make sure smaller shoulders do not drown as well as adjustable sleeves and patterns that fit many body sizes because of its cut and the way it can be photographed to hide some additional fabric.
So much thought, effort, time and planning went into Nicolassi’s range and when I create a new garment it is always with the client in mind, and how can this level up their shoot. This incredible red coat has been featured before on a Loci Photography blog (SEE HERE), and is one of the first things made for the quality and well-made range. It has some glorious weight, gives some drama with bigger sleeves and runs right down to the floor. It has a magnificent detail to it whereby it has enough fabric to show as little and as much as you want, and for this maternity, showing of the bump, it makes for a perfect contrasting “background” so that the tummy is the hero element. It adds some richness- and again, some gorgeous drama.
