I get to photograph the most beautiful of women, of all ages, sizes, shapes or walks of life. This lovely young woman still has the blessing of youth in her side, but had a depth to her that came through silently and strong in her images.
I am the biggest fan of the boudoir shoot. Loci photography has done boudoir for over ten years already, from using a clients own home or bedroom or even them opting the booking a guest house for their shoot, to doing so many more boudoir shoots in the recent years at the Loci Photography studio located in the suburb Waverley, Pretoria. The Loci Studio provides a private, intimate space for amazing boudoirs, and the studio look is one I have perfected over a few years already, it’s everything I need.
The studio seems to be complementary in how it shapes the lines of a body, and I work with that strength to create mood in my images, and the gradient of the light’s fall-off. Women are arguably the most beautiful creators that exist, and the lines of the female body are nature’s best gift. Artists have known this millenia already, and recently, with photography being a great artistic expression, there are fewers rules, so it’s not necessary to only feel one should do a boudoir shoot within the environment of someone’s bedroom, as it was originally intended. The studio feel seems to appeal to so many women who book the Loci studio for their boudoir shoots, and it’s done for various reasons. Many times it’s a gift from the bride-to-be for the groom, as his wedding present for their upcoming wedding, many times the boudoir shoot is done as an anniversary or birthday gift, and sometimes it’s done for the client’s own satisfaction and personal reason and not necessarily to give away.
