Professional Matric Dance Photography in Pretoria
The 2020 Matric Dance season was quite a chaotic one, the poor students never knew if they were even going to have their special events, or if they would be cancelled at the last moment because of newly announced Covid regulations as did happen to a number of schools.
This stunning matric dance shoot was luckily still able to go ahead, and these two stunning young people gave me lovely images and gorgeous smiles as if nothing was wrong with the outside world. This handsome young man looked so dapper in his suit which paired beautifully with the striking red dress of his partner that went with him, and on a sunny day in Pretoria, we were able to use the weather and it’s magic to capture some special matric dance images of these two.
The wonderful hands-on mother of this young man organized a stunning house in her area where we were able to do some images of these two and the surroundings and nice scenery made for lovely images.
The matric dance shoot still stays special and holds a special space in my heart, as it’s such a coming of age shoot – something that marks the end of a long school career and the beginning of an exciting future and the star of adulthood. So having so many matrics be disappointed with their events not happening and being canceled, broke my heart to see. Professional matric dance photography in Pretoria, Johannesburg, the East Rand, it almost didn’t happen in so many places.
I’m so happy to have been able to still serve this couple and family with a shoot of their own and a wonderful set of images which resulted in additional products printed for their enjoyment.
The 6×8 booklet that has become synonymous with Loci shoots’ as a keepsake, makes for a beautiful memorable coffee table book or gift, and to be able to immortalize shoots in the beautifully printed way makes it all worth it even more. And I wouldn’t ever be able to shoot my work if not for my amazing camera brand, Fujifilm.
