Professional family photography in Pretoria
I love lovely families. Families who end up referring you to other people, and families who you end up seeing at other events because of referrals, and this lovely family ended up being one of those success stories. Their little girl was the cutest baby ever, and we had smiles from everyone all around.
The best advice I can give to any family with smaller children, is to rather have their shoot done outside, with an environmental feel. Babies and smaller children can very easily feel super trapped in a studio environment, flashing lights – because my studio uses strobes – can put them in unease, and outside they just feel more free, and have nature to distract them. This shoot was again done at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens, a favourite of mine.
This year, Loci Photography is in the fortunate place in business to celebrate its tenth year in business and it’s been an amazing ride, mostly because of hard work, and definitely because of incredible people like these. And what makes them incredible, is because they are normal, and they are kind, and this makes for a good person all around.
I have enjoyed family shoots since I started my business, and when I think of these blogs, I am actually proud to say that not one of them has been written by any sort of copywriter, or AI application that I prompted to just spit out some words. I know that I genuinely write my blogs from my own experience, and I know that all of these shoots meant a great deal, and I have some lovely stuff to say about them, all of their stories differ and every family is different and I get to meet the nicest people. Professional family photography in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Midrand, East Rand, or wherever I happen to find myself.
I think it’s a mutual trust that happens, where the family hopes to get good images visually, and you hope to be fairly treated as a photographer, and once you can get that happening – it usually ends up being a lovely product.
