Serving Pretoria East clients with stunning boudoir

Serving Pretoria East clients with a stunning boudoir experience
The best and most gorgeous boudoir shoot in Pretoria

I would bore any person with everything Nicolassi – the exclusive attire brand of the Loci Photography studio, has achieved and how far it has come, but I know those details are what has made this into a gentle giant I am now in love with – it’s small things like adding these extra styling details that have taken my work for already awesome to extraordinary. This hyper fixation on creating clothes and experimenting with fabrics started during the Covid lockdown time – which now seems like a long time ago, but had lasting effects on all of us. Both my grandmothers loved making clothes and my mother made clothes for us as children, even my sister’s prom dress. But I have always have had a love for jackets, and a like for an interesting shape, and I knew that if I created a few pieces for my studio, I would be able to uplift the quality of my client’s shoots and create new  shapes and lines for them, unlike anywhere else found in the country.

My love for making especially jackets and coats turned out to be a theory I was correct about – clients love my clothes and their whole body language changes as they get to try on different garments when we style them together during our boudoir sessions. So many women also have a degree of insecurity, and these garments provide a protective layer of “skin” for them to lean into for support, it also adds for their experience not being too exposing, and makes for their images being of the highest quality.

The Nicolassi Brand was a love child born from passion, but became the apple of my eye very quickly, and now I’m obsessed. Each jacket should be cooler and more awesome than the previous one, and yes – I’m running out of space, but YES, they photograph so well and so beautifully. The way light catches glitters, beads, fringe, tassels, leather, artificial fur, spikes, studs…..it all makes for images that make me excited to be doing what I’m doing, and to keep on creating.

Now being situated in Rietvallei Park has given my studio the opportunity to serve a whole new source of clients, from the East of Pretoria, greater Pretoria, still Midrand and Johannesburg clients, and Centurion, Irene and the East Rand as well. Where I am based, is close to any highway, both the R21 and the N1, and it’s easy access to here. It’s such an exciting chapter in the Loci Photography journey, and I love it thoroughly. Serving Pretoria East clients with a stunning boudoir experience is a job I love.

My work won’t be my work if not for all of the help I get through things like my camera brad, Fujifilm, and my support gear such as my Manfrotto camera bag, my camera straps from Peak Design which I’m never without, my constant light setup from Apurture – a whole new world has opened up since using constant light, and I am loving it, and Apurture is such an amazing brand. My boudoirs are only marginally greater because of the great work of hair- and makeup stylist Jeanne Kay Kruger, of Rose Serene Studio, a reliable service supplier that does the most amazing work.

I’ve been an Elna sewing machine fan for years, my mom used an Elna, and I ended up inheriting her machine, recently though I’ve gotten an industrial Kingstar machine, and I’m just heading to the next strength with it.
