This lovely family exponentially grew when I got to see them again…:), a new family shoot was in order.
I remember doing the mommy’s maternity shoot when she was pregnant with her twin boys, and her husband phoning me after a couple of years, asking for a family shoot, as they had another set of twins, two beautiful girls. It was quite a busy morning, and we were able to go to the lovely setting of the Irene Dairy Farm, in Irene, Centurion, where the rustic feel added to the look of their location shoot.
It is quite a mission to tell the two little girls apart who are identical in looks, but the two little fraternal boys have this amazing way, of the one having the features of the mom, and the other, dad’s features.
I had to pull out all of my clown-skills and jokes and tricks to get them to laugh, and that was how most of the day was spent, just by entertaining busy children.
Working with children, I find a blessing, because I feel they are only honest in their beings, and give you exactly who they are. Getting spontaneous and authentic laughs out of them sometimes require work, but by taking some patience, and mixing it with letting them walk and run free, helps by getting of their inner kid out, and by feeling like a winner when you capture their smiles.
The Irene Dairy Farm seems to be a favourite spot for families, providing a place for children to climb- and play on, and having great restaurants on the premises where you’re able to get amazing lunch.
Longs lanes with trees and fields provided some stunning backdrops, and as boys will be boys, they had to climb on the tractor, and trees- and found their daddy super funny.
