Studio Family Photography
I think it’s important for any artist to evolve in style – maybe it’s a sign of growth, but it still does keep you inspired and makes you think, all the time on what could you do next to perhaps better your career, get more bookings, and keep client-satisfaction high. I wanted to do a family photoshoot in studio that is true to a newer, evolved style of how I do my photography now.
Throughout my career I had been able to make a lot of amazing connections, and keep relationships strong with many people, some of whom I had photographed only early on in my career.
Adele & Stephen Segal are two of those amazing people, and now they are happy to call their family complete, with two kiddies added, recently being little Noa Segal, their precious girl.
With my style that has changed I really wanted to give them the studio shoot feeling, but with a bit more of an emotional twist, and their set of images, about moments and their bon showing.
Wearing black for a newborn shoot isn’t traditional or really known of, but it worked out in a stunning way, and made for something different and impactful.
Noa never made a peep, and their bouncy little boy Eli, was very interested in the jelly sharks his mother offered him, and found his daddy super funny.
It’s such a stunning family, and I am thankful they were willing to do it this unconventional way, with a twist, and that their result is breathtaking.
I love my home studio – it’s convenient, and in such a relatively small, but relatively ok-ish space, I can do quite a lot, and I also shoot a lot for Boss Models in the studio, helping the young models, learn the dynamic of studio images which is different to shooting environmental. This might just be something I’ll revel in for awhile, this way of doing a family photoshoot in studio.
Photography is my outlet to get creative, it’s my healing for anything, it’s where I get to shape relationships and form bonds, it’s my career that feeds me, and it’s where I’m always aspiring to make my work better, and most of all – provide value.
