Families that have been with me through the years, are worth gold to me. Even though I am always striving to do more, and reach more, there are people who always phone me every year for Family Photography, for precious photos of their children, their birthdays, or new babies on the way.
This particular family, was one of them. During the previous year, we have done a continuous maternity shoot with the Mommy, as she was expecting their second boy. So every few weeks, we’ll measure her growth by a few photos, and it was all captured in a wonderful book as keepsake we made for them at the end of the shoot, when baby was born, and we had some newborn images.
I am in the privileged position, that I have a mobile studio, which can be strapped to my car’s roof, and with my kit, taken to my clients’ homes or workplaces, and have their shoots done there. Family Photography becomes easier for my clients who needn’t have to travel with small children.
For many corporate companies, this works amazingly well, and I am also lucky to have so many companies trust me with their corporate shoots. A studio can be set up at offices or buildings, and corporates can get studio quality images of their staff.
As it was still winter during the time for this shoot, we were able to do it snugly within their home, with my set-up.
I travel all over the country, a huge, amazing blessing of my work, and one which I have waited for to happen. Still, most of my shoots, happen in the bustling area of Johannesburg, and then Pretoria as well, and I travel through to my clients, to still give them, amazing family photos.
