Combining boudoir and portfolio photography in studio

COMBINING BOUDOIR AND PORTFOLIO PHOTOGRAPHY IN STUDIO

My love and innate passion for “normal” people, is what I love about my job as mostly- a portrait photographer. When I say normal, I don’t in any way mean boring, I mostly mean ordinary people, and not men- and women with the features of trained and professional models, people who do modelling as a profession because they have certain features that work incredibly well for fashion shoots. I mean people who are mothers, fathers – who want a good shoot of themselves, and a good representation of who they are, visually. Who want an actual prodigy of themselves, done well by someone other than their children, and perhaps a cellphone.

This incredible woman and I had a such a great time chatting in the studio, and she is a mom and businesswoman – but the kind of woman I welcome in my studio  – because my job is to work with anyone- and everyone, who wants to have their picture taken, even if they are tentative and shy, or claim they aren’t photogenic

There is a bit of magic in all of us, it’s what give us emotion and feeling, it’s what makes us human, makes us laugh en have some pretty ordinary human mannerisms, and especially women, all have a kind of “muchness” within themselves, that life sometimes suppresses, but will always be there – muchness being a word I coined because I feel it captures that X-factor so well, that something you can’t always explain.

Every shoot won’t be the same, every person isn’t as natural in front of the camera, or poses as casually with ease, some clients truly need good guidance- and help, and clear communication on what you as the professional knows will look best. One big policy I stand by, is the finished product you pay for, meaning the special care we take to process your images still after your shoot, and I loved making this set black and white, as it added some more mood to her images, showing a bit of her personality, which I loved, the end-product was perfect. So, combining boudoir and portfolio photography in studio, into one stunning shoot with a breathtaking product, sounds like an amazing idea.
