The incredible black jackets, coats and accessories for boudoir shoots
Showing off some of the black accessories from The Nicolassi Brand, and how these items will uplift the quality of any client’s boudoir shoot that visit the Loci Photography. When I started photographing boudoirs, I knew it was a genre I would fall deeper in love with, and it has been a labor of love to develop a boudoir product that would be a memorable experience, and knowing that I could have it evolve even more as time went by.
For about two-years I’ve been creating the most beautiful clothing line, items the camera loves, and shapes that make for strong and empowered images and make my clients feel strong and cared for – knowing their photographer also wants to style them in the best way.
These items all were handmade by myself, Yolandi Jacobsz – the photographer of Loci Photography. Artistically I’ve always made clothes since I was a photography student, adding stones and embellishments to jackets, and as I’ve grown in my career, I wanted to take it further and design my own type of jackets and coats, so as the range have grown I’ve evolved in the type of decorations I’ve added, and the different patterns I’ve designed and created myself as well.
So these items are all close to my heart, and having tested them all, they all photograph well, because the camera loves textures, lines, something shimmering and shiny, interesting lines, and my clients purely feel luxurious in these items because of the fabrics. The incredible black jackets, coats and accessories for boudoir shoots is now a staple part of my shoots, and clients seem to love the idea.
Showing off my black items here, as black just displays so velvety, and many of the items have a shimmering glossy special something about them that just makes it so luxurious to touch and great to photograph.
The Nicolassi Brand has an incredible beaded jacket that shimmers in the studio light and makes any client feel strong and proud with its pointed shoulders.
The are also various short block jackets, such as one in a shiny patent leather with snake pattern, the block jacket with black bodice and interchangeable shoulders such as golden spikes and studs, glossy faux fur, shorter and longer fringe, as well as longer leather coats, one which has a glossy finish and the other a pattern and flounces on the mid-area.
Longer floor-length options are also available, such as a gorgeous Venetian Lace coat, and a long leather number.
I’ve starting sewing on my mother’s old Elna sewing machine when I was younger, and I still have my machines, but recently I have upgraded to an incredible Kingstar walking foot machine, which is a proud moment.
