Doing boudoirs is what I love. Since I’ve started experimenting with this genre, and since it was the first solo shoot I did, when I started at a studio in Johannesburg South a few years ago, it would become something I would go on a journey with, with every woman that inquires about this shoot.
It’s an amazing experience, something become free, something gets restored, and something makes you remember your femininity and make see yourself as amazing and beautiful, for that moment. It’s not your everyday, typical shoot.
It’s not the same as a corporate, or even a family shoot at all, and it’s done for much different reasons. Boudoirs are an intimate, personal decision, and even if it is for a gift for a partner for an upcoming wedding or birthday, or anniversary, it surely is for the woman herself too.
It makes for her, going into a place within herself, and sometimes finding something sensual, and lovely. Doing boudoirs with my ladies, always grows a good bond, and always makes for a great connection. I’m glad I get to share these moments with them, something so close to them only sharing with their partners, and that bring you to a special close place with your client, and you form part of their memories and their experiences. Being a professional at this makes you responsible for someone’s image and her ultimate final product she’ll keep, and that is actually very exciting, and gives you great creative moments with your client, and the chance to produce a good product by putting it all together with precision. The boudoir shoot, isn’t just any shoot, but it will mean everything to you women you give this gift of skill for.
Loci Photography has been doing boudoirs shoots for almost a decade, be sure to book yours.
