A special event in Pretoria
The best events are the ones where you can feel the love between family and friends present palpably, and this event – was one of those.
I’ve known this couple from a previous shoot already, and heard their beautiful storey as they visited me at the Loci Photography studio located in Waverley, Pretoria.
They got married legally and wanted to have their formal wedding ceremony together with a traditional flair celebrated with everyone they knew and love- within the bounds of all Covid 19 venue regulations and restrictions.
It was a lovely sunny day in Pretoria, and we were blessed with beautiful weather, and the blessings of proud family members.
I found myself getting emotional as both the groom’s’ brothers wished them well, and many blessings and good times upon them, and guaranteed them that the families only felt love for the both of them.
It was a beautiful event. Many times, the moment a client receives their product, and you get a message- or a video later where they thank you in tears, is when you remember why it is what we do, for clients as a service. A special event in Pretoria, paired with great sunset light and smiling family members and friends.
After some beautiful speeches from important aunts and other people who wanted to give their blessings, we had a few minutes of soft, romantic sunshine left where I was able to give them a stunning set of couple images as the run romantically hugged the space around them.
This set is my favourite, as event photos in essence can be quite fun but quite chaotic, and these are a moment of calm poses, between two people who just made an important promise to each other.
Maybe 2021 will be kinder to us photographers in a way where we’ll be able to shoot weddings- and events again, for amazing clients such as these. (As a footnote – it is because of precious time that just flew by that my previous posts only now get posted and I get to work through my older blogs still to post – it is 2023 already, and I’m sure it’ll all be more amazing what is to come.
