A FUN MATRIC DANCE SHOOT IN PRETORIA
Another matric dance once again, another chance for me to gush over the amazingly fun shoot it is for me to capture. Again, 2020 was such a difficult year for all matrics, so very unsure whether they would be able to even attend school for most of the year, and with changing regulations as the pandemic grew wilder and bigger all over the country, some schools opted for cancelling their matric dance event, just to reschedule it again, so it was quite crazy times.
This stunning young couple were luckily and fortunately able to have their matric dance happen still, and looked gorgeous together as we were able to do their shoot at a venue.
Many families don’t always know if s matric dance photoshoot is actually worth it, but it’s quite a lot of planning and organising that goes into having the event, and for couples to get their outfit choices sorted, so to capture all of that the moment before they are to enjoy their function, I feel is such a blessing.
What a dapper young man, with incredible manners, and he treated his lovely date- and partner so kindly and softly. They both opted for classic black as their color scheme and it suited them perfectly. A matric dance shoot can be a combination of quite posed images, as well as some casual images in between as well, where you can let them walk or dance within their surroundings. Use a wide angle lens even at time, showcase where they are, what the sun does with its light around them, and add some depth and space to their images for some variety in their set of images.
The 6×8 booklet that has become a favorite for clients, again proved to be a winner as the mother of this handsome young man got one a special keepsake of their shoot. A fun matric dance shoot in Pretoria, when times were tough and futures unclear, yet we managed to make some beautiful visual memories.
