Showing off my clothing range with my camera brand

SHOWING OFF MY CLOTHING RANGE WITH MY CAMERA BRAND

Working with my suppliers and the industry-colleagues I had been able to make over the years have been a wonderful addition to my career. You do not get anywhere far on your own, but through the support of other professionals, and I am thankful for the working relationships I had been able to build and maintain over the years.

Fujifilm has been my preferred camera brand for over six years already, the brand has grown so much over this time, together with its users and the industry’s needs.

So Fujifilm and the art institution that is Open Window have had a great working relationship for years, and work together during their open days to educate young students on camera- and lighting gear to look for and get familiar with when they graduate and start to buy their own things.

This was another great open day where I was asked to show how the Fujifilm GFX medium format system to the students walking through the exhibitions, and I brought on of my favourite models, Palesa Williams, some pieces of my studio’s handmade bespoke apparel clothing range, The Nicolassi Brand, and had makeup done by one of my most trusted hair- and makeup artists I’ve used for years, Jeanne-Kay Kruger of Rose Serene Studio, someone I’ve been using for absolute years because of her incredible skill and professionalism.

So this short block jacket has some similar friends in the previously shown pink and black versions, and the gentle swaying white leather fringe makes for the funnest powerful shapes on the shoulder points. It’s nothing but super cool. The range I developed and handmade is for the exclusive use of Loci Photography’s studio, where they are exciting additions for hire for all clients’ boudoir, portfolio and fitness shoots.

I’m the creator of all of Nicolassi’s pieces, I had been able to make quite a few key things within a span of about 12 months, and so far, it seems to be really successful because of how excited clients become when they get to wear something that makes them feel strong and which has a strong shape.

I am completely in love with these small jackets, they prove to work time and time again.

I’m thankful to Fujifilm for the very cool opportunity to present at Open Window and for being able to use the GFX50ii system, Open Window Centurion for being able to use their studio space, Outdoorphoto for their logistical help with my lighting setup, which was the Elinchrom One dual set provided to me for use by Singer Photographic, Palesa Williams for being such a great model, and Rose Serene Studio for always doing incredible work. Showing off my clothing range with my camera brand, is a proud moment, the relationships have come very far, and my brand has developed into something really beautiful and successful.
